WHALE IVORY PIN CUSHION HOLDER with swift style table clamp fashioned to resemble a barrel. Quite large in size and beautifully turned into various shapes including ball and rigging block sheave motifs. Everything with deep incised lines that are filled with red and green sealing wax. Upper accessory cup holds a green pin cushion that has a turned finial at the top. Clamp for table attachment fitted with a thumb screw for tightening. Condition overall very good noting a few small blemishes at the very top of the cup and typical wax loss from the incised lines. Excellent age color throughout. Circa 1840. 9" h.
